I reccomend to everybody to spend some time in this University, all the staff has a very high professional standard; all the people here are very welcoming and polite, you feel as good as in your home. The most significant thing that I've noticed was the deep gratitude of patients when they were talking with doctors, They were really grateful( some of them had hunged the doctors).
So, my suggestion is: if you want to have a great experience join the School of Medicine in Zabrze!!

Firstly we want to start with a warm welcome. It was about a year since we left from Poland but our every memory is very important and special for us. We were worried and excited about going a new country which we dont know. We tought that it was an adventure and then started our travel with these feelings. Of course it was a wonderful and exciting travel as we expected so it has a special place in our lives. Erasmus was very nice experience in Poland especially at Slaski Universtiy. we felt your candid interest since the first moment we arrived. We had sincere friends and they helped us in every respect. We want to say that we are thankful for them. Erasmus contributed us not only to educational field but also to aspect of sociocultural. Additionally we want to mention that it was beneficial for our medicine lives both in theoritical and practical terms. Of course sincere friends, respectful academicians, assistant pysiciana and dear Reneta’s supports have a big role about that. We are thankful for all of them. We recognized different people and cultures during our travel and as we said before it was wonderful experience for us. Lastly Poland is very beautiful country and it will be very special place for us. We can say that Poland is our second country any longer. We look forward to come again. We are happy to see you in our country. Thanks all Slaski Medicine family for their interest, help and understanding. Best regards...

Last year I studied at SUM university in Zabrze , for medical studies.
Honestly I was quite scared because no one from my city has been there in past, but when we arrived, they welcomed us warmly.
During last year we meet a lot of friendly people and we have to thank the Dean and his entourage for the organization of our lectures and also they have been always on our side, trying to satisfy us in everything we required.
The professors are really well prepared and helpful.
I'm really grateful to all of them because I discover in Poland what I want to do in my life after finishing the degree in medicine and surgery.
What about the lovely city of Zabrze? I hope spring was warmer this year!
As far as my studies at SUM are concerned, I have to say that was very important for me to spend a lot of time in hospital to see the real doctors activities and I think this was the best part of my staying there, expecially in the department of Neurology and Gynecology.
Every doctor was very kind and helpfull and I didn't find too much trouble on passing exams.
I studied Internal Medicine and Otolaryngology in SUM. For Internal Medicine, my schedule was planned in subdivisions so I was able to practice different branches in each and every week, which was nice. On the other hand, as a sixth year of medical student, I need more practice both in policlinics and wards. So instead of only discussing topics, this happened in some, seeing more patients would be better. The attitudes of stuff were very helpful, friendly and kind. At first, it seemed as a problem traveling from Zabrze to Bytom or Katowice, but it wasn't.
For otolaryngology, I was able to see both the operations and the patients in policlinics. I was able to discuss some topics and also practice them, it was also very nice.
